The Point Most Factories Never Tell You.
Thailand’s national standards are administered by TISI (Thai Industrial Standards Institute), under the Ministry of Industry. Where a TIS standard is mandatory, the product cannot be lawfully imported or sold without the TISI mark — and the certificate must be held by a Thai-registered entity.
A foreign manufacturer must submit the TISI application through a company registered in Thailand, which holds the certificate as local representative. The overseas factory cannot hold it directly — this makes your appointed Thai distributor or importer the responsible party, while the factory supplies the technical evidence pack the certification body requires.
A practical advantage: for lower-risk products where the factory already holds ISO 9001, TISI may accept that as evidence of the quality-management system and waive the on-site factory inspection. Technical documents must be in English or Thai.

Importer Questions
The Thai-registered entity (your company or appointed importer) holds it as local representative. The overseas factory cannot hold it directly but supplies the full technical evidence pack the certification body requires.
You pay the full MFN duty rate instead of the ACFTA preferential rate — on that entire shipment. We issue Form E with every order so the preferential rate applies each time, not only on the first container.
The SPC rigid core (1.95–2.05 g/cm³, ISO 1183) holds dimensional stability to ≤0.10% per EN ISO 23999 — engineered to stay flat through monsoon-season humidity swings, which is where under-spec cores fail after handover.
MOQ is 800 m² per SKU — under half a 20GP container, so a first order can combine several décors. FOB pricing starts from US$6.18/m² depending on construction and wear layer; exact pricing is quoted against your spec.
Typically 5–9 days from Ningbo or Shanghai on direct-call services, FCL in 20GP. Vinyl is a weight-led cargo, so 20GP is the standard container; exact m² loaded is confirmed at quotation.
