Is Bfl-s1 enough for Qatar Civil Defence?
Do not assume it is. Confirm the required floor-finish classification and test method with the project consultant or fire engineer. Our EN 13501-1 report does not establish an ASTM E648 or NFPA floor-finish classification. Settle this before the submittal and before you order.
What goes into the consultant’s material submittal?
Usually the technical data sheet, test reports for the exact build, samples and any compliance statement the project asks for. QCS 2024 is an optional national standard (QS 27/2024); the project specification sets which clauses apply. Send the QCS section and spec clause; we match documents to the SKU and tell you where a report does not cover your build.
Do Ashghal projects need prequalified products?
Ashghal’s Vendors Prequalification Committee (VPC) reviews manufacturers and products through a local supplier. Third-party testing facilities must meet the checklist’s ISO 17025 requirement. Where testing is undertaken in Qatar, laboratories should be selected from Ashghal’s latest approved list. Confirm the applicable product category and submission requirements before tendering.
Which documents help on a GSAS project?
The GSAS interiors manual includes a low-VOC materials requirement. For VOC emissions, our evidence is GREENGUARD Gold for defined click and dry back vinyl thickness ranges. Our EPD is a different document: it reports life-cycle environmental impacts and is not VOC evidence. The GSAS assessor decides what counts; send the criterion your project targets.
How does rigid SPC handle Qatar’s heat?
One measurable point: our tested SPC build (4.0 mm, 0.3 mm wear layer) changed 0.02 % at most after 6 hours at 80 °C to ISO 23999. That is a lab result, not a site guarantee. Tell us if the area is not air-conditioned or gets strong sun through glazing, and follow the installation guide for expansion gaps.
What duty applies at Hamad Port?
As general import background, the US trade guide describes a 5 % ad valorem tariff on the CIF invoice value of most imported products, so duty is calculated on CIF, not the FOB price. This is not a confirmed rate for flooring. HS 3918.10 is the usual heading for PVC floor coverings; Qatar has used 12-digit tariff codes since January 2025, and your Qatar customs broker confirms the 12-digit code, duty and any other charges. Importers, contractors and consultants: each report covers only the build that was tested. At quotation we match documents to the exact SKU, thickness, wear layer and surface, the producing plant, and the subfloor, underlay and installation conditions stated in the report, and tell you before you order where a report does not cover your build. Report and certificate numbers are sent on request, with the scope.

Reports and certificates are issued to the plant that produces the tested build. A matching report supports a submittal; it does not by itself mean approval by the consultant, Civil Defence or Ashghal. Scope check: SPC and LVT certifications.
Four flooring options
for Qatar fit-out and supply.
All four are floating click floors; SPC plank and SPC tile share the rigid core and differ mainly in format and décor. The base must meet the flatness, moisture and soundness requirements in the installation guide for the article. Thickness, wear layer and use class are set per SKU on the product page and the technical data sheet. In Qatar listings the same products also appear as “SPC flooring”, “vinyl plank” or “stone-look SPC tiles”; we quote by construction, not by trade name.
SPC Click Plank
Rigid stone-polymer core with printed décor film and wear layer. Used in apartments, villas, offices and retail fit-outs.
SPC Tiles, Stone and Marble
Rigid SPC core in tile formats with stone, marble or terrazzo décors, for lobbies, showrooms and commercial interiors, subject to the fire requirement and project specification.
Click LVT Plank
Flexible vinyl construction with a click joint, for residential and hospitality interiors. As a flexible build it follows its own subfloor and installation requirements in the article’s installation guide.
ABA Flooring
SPC core with vinyl layers above and below, for projects that want a rigid plank with a vinyl backing layer.
Site check: the subfloor must meet the flatness, moisture and soundness requirements in the installation guide for the specific article, whatever the core type. On new screed, measure residual moisture before laying.

SPC click 110 × 610 mm and LVT dry back (glue-down) 153 × 765 mm, each with its own data sheet. For the SPC click herringbone, A and B planks are packed in separate cartons.

For interior walls, subject to the panel, substrate and installation method. Flooring fire reports do not establish the fire classification of wall panels. MOQ and lead time for panels are confirmed separately in the quotation.

Own brand, carton and label for flooring from 2,200 m² per custom design or colour. Send the label text and language you need; we confirm what we can print before production.
