ABA / RSVP Flooring — Acoustic-Backed SPC, Factory-Direct Wholesale

ABA (Acoustic Backing Attached) — also sold as RSVP — is rigid SPC flooring with a pre-attached IXPE acoustic pad bonded to the underside, so installers skip the separate underlayment. Available in EIR wood, stone and carpet-texture visuals, plank and tile, 4.5–8 mm, with IIC / STC acoustic testing to US ASTM standards. FOB quote within 24 hours.

ABA flooring (Acoustic Backing Attached), also known as RSVP, is rigid SPC flooring manufactured with an IXPE acoustic underlayment pre-bonded to the underside of each plank or tile. The attached pad reduces impact and airborne noise and removes the need to install a separate underlayment, speeding up installation in multi-family, hospitality and commercial projects. Ecoflors manufactures ABA / RSVP in plank and tile formats from 4.5 to 8 mm (excluding the acoustic pad), in EIR wood, stone and carpet-texture decors, tested for IIC and STC to ASTM E492 and ASTM E90. Factory-direct from Changzhou and Jiaxing, China; MOQ 800 m² per SKU. Contact: WhatsApp +86 134 8633 9267 or sales@ecoflors.com.

What is ABA / RSVP?

Rigid SPC with the underlayment already attached

A standard SPC floor needs a separate foam underlayment rolled out before installation. ABA / RSVP integrates that layer at the factory — a closed-cell IXPE acoustic pad is laminated to the bottom of the rigid stone-polymer core, so the board arrives ready to click together over the subfloor.

The result is faster installation, consistent acoustic performance (no mismatched or forgotten underlayment on site), and a thinner total build-up than a floor plus loose pad. It is the format multi-family developers, hotels and offices specify when impact-noise control between floors is a project requirement. Why specifiers choose ABA

Built for quiet, fast multi-level installs

Quieter floors

The attached IXPE pad lowers impact (footfall) and airborne noise transfer between levels, helping assemblies meet IBC IIC / STC requirements for multi-family and hospitality.

Faster installation

No separate underlayment to roll, tape or align. Crews click the boards straight over the prepared subfloor — fewer steps, fewer site errors, lower labour cost.

Consistent performance

Because the pad is bonded at the factory, every board carries the same acoustic layer — no risk of the wrong or missing underlayment changing the result on site.

100% waterproof

The rigid SPC core has 0% water absorption and stays dimensionally stable (≤ 0.10%, EN ISO 23999) for wet areas and temperature swings.

Thinner build-up

An integrated pad is thinner than a floor plus a loose underlayment, helping with door clearances and transitions in renovation work.

Low-VOC certified

FloorScore / GREENGUARD Gold options and CARB2 / TSCA Title VI compliance support healthy-building and US import requirements.

Three decor families

EIR wood, stone and carpet-texture visuals

Every ABA / RSVP construction is available across three surface families, so a single acoustic platform covers residential, commercial and hospitality design needs.

Sizes & build specification

Formats, thicknesses & US-equivalent sizes

Plank and tile formats, with US inch equivalents for North American projects. Thicknesses are the rigid core build and exclude the attached acoustic pad; total thickness depends on the pad specified.

Tested to recognised standards

Acoustic & product test standards

ABA / RSVP is built to be tested against the US and international standards that architects, acoustic consultants and importers specify. Acoustic ratings (IIC, STC, ΔIIC) are assembly-dependent and are reported from the third-party test for each article — request the report for the exact construction.

How to read acoustic numbers: an IIC or STC figure describes a whole floor-ceiling assembly (slab, ceiling, flooring), not the floor alone. The same ABA board gives different IIC values over a 6-inch concrete slab versus a wood-joist assembly. Always specify to the tested assembly that matches your building, and ask for the report. We provide the third-party test data for the exact article and pad combination.

Buyer FAQ

Common questions on ABA / RSVP

What does ABA flooring mean, and is RSVP the same thing?
ABA stands for Acoustic Backing Attached — rigid SPC flooring with an IXPE acoustic pad pre-bonded to the underside, so no separate underlayment is needed. RSVP is a common trade name for the same construction. The attached pad reduces impact and airborne noise and speeds up installation in multi-level buildings.
What acoustic ratings does ABA / RSVP achieve?
IIC (impact) and STC (airborne) ratings are assembly-dependent — the same board gives different numbers over a concrete slab versus a wood-joist floor — so we report values from the third-party test for each article and pad. Testing follows ASTM E492 (IIC), ASTM E90 (STC) and ASTM E2179 (ΔIIC). Tell us your assembly and we provide the matching report.
What sizes and thicknesses are available?
Plank formats run from 150 × 1220 mm up to 228 × 1820 mm (≈ 9″ × 72″), plus a 110 × 610 mm herringbone and a 305 × 610 mm (≈ 12″ × 24″) tile. Core thickness options are 4.5 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 mm, excluding the attached acoustic pad. Wear layers run 12–28 mil.
Do I still need a separate underlayment?
No — that is the point of ABA / RSVP. The IXPE acoustic pad is already bonded to each board, so crews click the floor straight over a clean, flat, dry subfloor without rolling out a separate underlayment. This removes a step and the risk of the wrong pad being used on site.
Is it compliant for US import and commercial projects?
Yes. ABA / RSVP can be supplied to CARB2 / TSCA Title VI formaldehyde limits and FloorScore / GREENGUARD Gold low-VOC certification, with ASTM F3261 (SPC spec), ASTM E648 Class 1 flammability and ASTM E662 smoke data available. We supply the full document pack per article.
What is the minimum order, and can I private-label?
MOQ is 800 m² per SKU, and several decors and formats can be combined in one container. OEM / ODM private-label is available — your brand, packaging and decor. Message WhatsApp +86 134 8633 9267 or sales@ecoflors.com with your specification for an FOB price and certificate list within 24 hours.

General information for importers, distributors and specifiers. Acoustic ratings (IIC, STC, ΔIIC) are assembly-dependent and must be verified against the third-party test report for the exact article and floor-ceiling assembly. ASTM / EN standards, tariff classifications and certification requirements change and must be confirmed before each shipment. Technical values are range figures and are confirmed against the article’s technical data sheet (TDS).
