Marine vinyl flooring is a glue-down vinyl floor printed and embossed to look like a teak and holly cabin sole. We make it for boat builders, refit yards and marine flooring importers, in 2 to 3 mm sheets for cabin, saloon, cockpit and below-deck floors. It is an interior product: open decks and swim platforms need a different construction.

Teak and Holly Boat Flooring Designs
Teak and holly is the traditional cabin-sole look: teak-coloured planks separated by thin light lines that imitate holly inlay. Our marine sheets print that pattern and emboss it, so the lines and grain read as separate boards.

The same glue-down construction is sold for buildings as Dryback LVT, where the 2.5 mm and 3 mm pages publish full datasheets. Marine sheets differ in decor, sheet size and how they are supplied, so quote them from the marine datasheet, not the building range.

Teak Vinyl Flooring or Real Teak and Holly?
Builders and refit yards usually weigh the two on maintenance, weight and how the floor is fitted. The look is the reason teak vinyl exists; the table shows what actually changes.

Installation
Installing Marine Vinyl on Board
Most problems with vinyl boat flooring come from the substrate and the adhesive, not the sheet. The installation instruction for the SKU sets the figures; these are the points it covers.

Substrate
Marine plywood or a laminated deck, flat, clean and dry before any adhesive goes down.
Acclimatisation
Sheets rest on board before fitting, for the time the instruction sets.
Adhesive
The adhesive type the instruction names for the substrate. In enclosed cabins, check ventilation requirements for it.
Edges and seams
Gaps at bulkheads and fixed furniture, and sealed seams in heads and other wet areas.
Cleaning
Damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. No solvent-based products on the surface.

Three kinds of buyer order marine vinyl from us. Each needs something different confirmed before the first order.
- Boat builders
Production builders fit the same floor across a run of hulls, so colour and texture between batches matter most.
Agree the tone, strip and sheet size on an approved production sample, and quote the same SKU for each repeat order.
- Refit yards
A refit has to match what is already on board, often next to timber trim.
Order samples in all three teak tones and compare them on the boat before you fix the order.
- Marine flooring importers
Distributors stock marine vinyl for boatyards and chandleries, usually under their own brand.
Tell us the destination market so the quotation names the documents we can supply for that SKU.

Marine Vinyl Flooring FAQs
Is teak vinyl flooring suitable for outdoor boat decks?
No. Our marine vinyl flooring is an interior product for cabins, saloons, cockpits and below-deck areas. Open decks and swim platforms take constant sun and saltwater and need an exterior decking construction. Send the area and conditions and we’ll say whether we can offer one.
Is vinyl boat flooring slippery when wet?
We don’t publish a slip rating for the marine programme. Slip results belong to the surface and decor that was tested. If your specification names a slip test, such as DIN 51130, send it and we’ll tell you what we hold for that SKU.
Can teak vinyl flooring replace traditional teak and holly flooring?
For the look and for lower upkeep, yes: the teak grain and holly lines are printed and embossed, and the floor needs cleaning rather than oiling or varnishing. It is still vinyl, so judge the match on a physical sample next to the boat’s timber trim.
Is marine vinyl flooring resistant to saltwater and mould?
The vinyl face has no wood layer, so it doesn’t swell like timber when it gets wet, and spills wipe off with a damp mop and a pH-neutral cleaner. The weak points are seams and the adhesive bond: seal seams in wet areas and use the adhesive the installation instruction names. We don’t publish a mould-resistance test.
What is the MOQ for wholesale marine vinyl flooring orders?
The minimum is confirmed in the quotation for the marine SKU and pattern, together with how colours can share a container. Send the quantity per tone and the destination port.
What certifications are available for marine vinyl flooring?
Documents are matched to the SKU and the market it ships to, not issued as one pack for the whole range. Tell us the documents your buyers or your specification ask for and we’ll say which we hold for that SKU. Current certificates are on our certifications page.
What are the available sizes and can they be customised?
The marine sheets are 965 × 1245 mm and 965 × 1560 mm. Builders can develop a custom sheet size, plank width or strip colour; each is quoted as its own SKU and approved on a production sample.
Can this flooring be used on commercial vessels: ferries, workboats, offshore?
Not as standard. Vessels built to SOLAS need floor coverings with type-approved fire performance, and we don’t publish that approval for this product. Send the flag state and class society requirement before you specify it, and we’ll tell you what we can document.
