Construction
2.5mm Dryback LVT Construction
Five layers, surface to back. The back is flat so it bonds to the adhesive across its whole area.
UV coating
UV-cured surface coat that sets the matte finish.
Wear layer
Clear layer over the print. Its thickness is the main choice you make on this product.
Décor film
The printed wood or stone design. Textures on the herringbone and 228.6 × 1524 plank follow the print.
LVT middle layer
Main body of the plank or tile.
LVT bottom layer
Flat back that goes into the adhesive. There is no fibreglass sheet in this build.
0.3mm vs 0.5mm vs 0.55mm Wear Layer
0.30 mm wear layer
For residential and rental fit-outs where traffic is domestic and the budget is tight. Available in all six formats.
0.50 mm wear layer
For offices, shops and common areas with steady foot traffic. Available in all six formats, and the classification on our datasheet is shown in the technical table.
0.55 mm wear layer
The option we are asked for most often on European projects. EN ISO 10582 sets 0.55 mm as the minimum wear layer for Class 33. Meeting the minimum is necessary but not sufficient, so we confirm the class for the exact SKU before it goes on a submittal.

Compliance by Market
We don’t publish a fire, slip or emissions rating for this build as a range-wide result. A report only supports the construction, thickness and wear layer that was tested, so we match documents to the SKU you are quoting and the market it is going to. Tell us the standard your specification names and we’ll say what we hold for that build, and what we don’t. Current certificates are listed on our certifications page.

Applications
Recommended Applications
A starting point for the specification, not a substitute for it. Subject to project specification and local requirements.
-
Apartments, rental and build-to-rent units0.30 mm
Project considerations
Subfloor flatness and moisture, and any acoustic requirement between units. Dryback has no attached underlay, so acoustic layers are a separate specification item.
-
Offices and meeting rooms0.50 mm
Project considerations
Castor-chair areas and the classification the tender names.
-
Retail and showroom floors0.50 or 0.55 mm
Project considerations
Entrance matting, cleaning regime and the class required by the schedule.
-
Hotel rooms and corridors0.55 mm
Project considerations
Fire and slip documents for the destination market, matched to the SKU.
-
Refurbishment over existing hard floorsPer project
Project considerations
Glue-down needs a sound, level, clean base. The adhesive maker’s substrate guidance decides whether the old floor stays.

Road weight limits at some destinations, including many North American inland routes, sit below the 25,000 kg basis used here. We recalculate the load for your port and inland route before quoting a container quantity.

Buyer questions
2.5mm Dryback LVT FAQs
Does 2.5mm Dryback LVT need an underlay?
No. It is glued directly to a prepared subfloor, and an underlay under a glue-down floor would stop the adhesive bonding. If the project has an acoustic requirement, that is met with a separate acoustic layer the adhesive system approves, and it is specified before ordering.
Which adhesive should the installer use?
One the adhesive manufacturer approves for LVT on your substrate, applied to its trowel and open-time instructions. We don’t name a brand, because the right product depends on the substrate, the site climate and what is sold in your market.
What subfloor flatness is needed before installation?
The tolerance set by the adhesive manufacturer and the installation standard in your market. A 2.5 mm floor follows the subfloor closely, so hollows and ridges show through; level, dry and clean is the working rule, and moisture is tested before the adhesive goes down.
Can I mix several colours in one container?
Yes. Each colour has to meet its own minimum, listed in the ordering terms. Tell us the split by colour and we’ll work out the load.
Can you send fire and slip test reports for my market?
Send us the market and the standard your specification names. We check which reports cover the exact construction and wear layer being quoted, and tell you plainly if one does not exist yet.
What if the project needs a floating floor instead?
Dryback is glue-down only. For a floating installation, look at Click LVT, or at loose lay vinyl where tiles need to lift out for access.
How do I get samples before ordering?
Use the sample request below with the decors and wear layers you are considering. Sample kits are sent separately from the quotation, and courier arrangements are confirmed when we reply.
