Is SPC vinyl the same as hybrid flooring?
Not always. Local suppliers use SPC, SPC vinyl, SPC click vinyl and rigid board for the same rigid-core click plank, but “hybrid” covers different builds. We use hybrid for ABA: an SPC core with vinyl layers above and below. Name the construction and we quote the right product.
Can SPC flooring go over existing tiles?
Often, as a floating click floor, when the tiles are firmly bonded and the floor is flat. Remove loose tiles and fill deep grout lines first. SPC is often considered where a rigid click construction is preferred, but both SPC and click LVT still require the substrate to meet the specified flatness, moisture and stability requirements.
Is your flooring SABS approved?
SABS publishes the SANS standards and runs a separate mark scheme. We do not claim an SABS mark. If a tender asks for SABS approval or cites a SANS clause, send the clause: we check which of our test reports match the build and say plainly where they do not.
Which fire report can you show for public and commercial floors?
SANS 10400-T addresses the use and fire performance of floor coverings within the building fire design. We hold an EN 13501-1 Bfl-s1 report for a tested SPC 4.0 mm / 0.3 mm construction. This is supporting product evidence, not an automatic SANS classification. The project fire consultant or approving authority decides whether it is acceptable and whether additional South African testing is required.
What is the HS code for SPC flooring?
SPC, LVT and ABA are PVC floor coverings, commonly classified under HS 3918.10. Your clearing agent confirms the South African tariff line, duty and VAT with SARS before shipment.
Do you deliver to Durban or Cape Town?
We quote FOB Shanghai. Your forwarder books sea freight to Durban, Cape Town or Gqeberha and the inland leg to your warehouse. Production is normally 35–40 days; transit is added to that.

Rigid stone-polymer core with printed décor film and wear layer. The usual first container for South African renovation work, where the new floor goes over existing tiles or screed.
Rigid SPC core in tile formats with stone, marble or terrazzo décors, for retail, offices and apartment developments that want a tile look without wet trades, subject to the required fire class and project specification.
Flexible vinyl construction, softer underfoot than rigid SPC. For residential estates, guesthouses and apartments on a flat, well-prepared screed.
SPC core with vinyl layers above and below, for projects that want a rigid plank with a vinyl backing layer.
Site check for click floors: a floating floor needs a flat, dry and sound base. Over existing tiles, check that they are firmly bonded and fill deep grout lines; on new screed, check flatness and residual moisture against the installation guide for the article. A rigid core hides small irregularities; it does not correct loose tiles or a wet subfloor.
Patterns, surface, wall panels and OEM
SPC planks, tiles, click LVT, ABA and wall panels can be considered for the same order, subject to each product’s MOQ, packaging compatibility, pallet dimensions, container weight and the final loading plan.

SPC click 110 × 610 mm and LVT dry back (glue-down) 153 × 765 mm, each with its own data sheet. For SPC click herringbone, A and B planks are packed separately. Dryback herringbone packing is confirmed by the selected format and order.

Can I combine products in one order?
SPC planks, tiles, click LVT, ABA and wall panels can be considered for the same order, subject to each product’s MOQ (800 m² per existing SKU/colour), packaging compatibility, pallet dimensions, container weight and the final loading plan. With a moving exchange rate, settling the mix early makes landed cost easier to plan.
SPC or click LVT for my project?
SPC can tolerate minor substrate variation better than flexible click LVT, but it does not correct an uneven or unstable subfloor. Large open areas require confirmation of expansion limits, transitions and installation layout. Click LVT suits projects where comfort underfoot matters and the screed is flat. See SPC vs LVT.
What about floors in strong sun?
Floors behind north-facing sliding doors and large windows get strong direct sun and heat. Flag these areas in your enquiry: heat and direct sun affect product choice and installation, and the data sheet and installation guide for the selected SKU apply.
