Rigid-Core Performance, Without the PVC

Conventional LVT and SPC use polyvinyl chloride (PVC) — a chlorinated polymer that relies on plasticizers and can release hydrogen chloride when burned. Non-PVC flooring replaces the vinyl entirely, keeping the click-together convenience and waterproof durability while removing the chemistry that health-sensitive specifications increasingly reject. Non-PVC Flooring — Common Questions

What is non-PVC flooring made of?
Non-PVC flooring replaces the vinyl (PVC) of conventional LVT/SPC with a different polymer. Our primary line uses a polypropylene (PP) core — a thermoplastic with no chlorine and no plasticizers. Polyolefin/PET and mineral-core constructions are also available for specific project requirements. All share the same core advantage: no phthalates, no halogens, no formaldehyde.
How is PP flooring better than PVC for health-sensitive projects?
PP flooring is phthalate-free, halogen-free and formaldehyde-free. Because PP is rigid by nature it needs no plasticizers, and because it contains no chlorine it cannot release hydrogen chloride in a fire. Combined with an ND / E0 formaldehyde class and ultra-low VOC emissions, it is suited to hospitals, schools and other environments where indoor air quality is a clinical or regulatory requirement.
Is your non-PVC flooring Blue Angel certified?
Yes. Our non-PVC flooring carries the Blue Angel (Blauer Engel), the German government’s official ecolabel for low-emission, health-conscious products. It is the trust mark that German and European specifiers, hospitals, schools and public-procurement buyers look for. We also hold FloorScore, GREENGUARD Gold, CE (EN 14041) and REACH compliance.
Does going PVC-free reduce durability or waterproofing?
No. The rigid PP core is waterproof and dimensionally stable, engineered to rigid-core performance standards — dimensional stability ≤0.10% (EN ISO 23999), R10 slip resistance, Bfl-s1 fire rating, and residual indentation ≤0.05mm. You keep the durability and waterproof performance of rigid-core flooring while removing the PVC chemistry.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
